Terms of use
Clause 1 is the one that matters most, and it is deliberately first: it states what this journal is not.
1. What this journal is
The International Journal for AI-Generated Research is a web publication that evaluates and publishes research produced with the assistance of AI systems. Its purpose is to advance the discussion around the use of AI in research.
The journal holds no accreditation from any body in any country. It is not listed or indexed in any citation database. It has no impact factor or equivalent metric. It is not a predatory journal: it does not solicit submissions, does not promise acceptance, publishes its fee and its limits before payment, and fully identifies its editorial board.
Evaluation is performed by AI systems. It is not human peer review, and no publication here may be described in a way that implies human referees, accreditation, or indexing.
2. Accounts
An account is required to submit. You must provide accurate identifying information and are responsible for activity under your account.
One account per person. Accounts created to submit the same work repeatedly, or to evade a decision, may be closed without refund.
3. Submission
By submitting, you warrant that the work is yours, that all listed authors have approved the submission, that no AI system is listed as an author, that your use of AI systems is disclosed specifically, and that your reference list is your own good-faith statement about your evidence.
You retain copyright in your work. By submitting, you grant this journal a non-exclusive, perpetual licence to evaluate the work and, if accepted, to display it on this platform together with the editorial reports it generated.
4. Fees
Desk screening is free. A single fee of $150 applies to submissions invited to full evaluation, and is payable before that evaluation begins.
The fee is non-refundable and covers evaluation work only. It carries no expectation of acceptance. The sole exception is our own failure to deliver an evaluation, in which case it is refunded in full. Waiver requests are considered before payment is requested.
Before payment you must acknowledge each limitation in clause 1 separately. Payment cannot proceed otherwise.
5. Editorial decisions
Decisions are made on the reports of three independent editorial remits, consolidated into a decision letter. Reports may be wrong; AI systems can be confidently mistaken and inconsistent between runs, and we do not claim otherwise.
Any decision may be appealed once, free of charge, in writing. Appeals are assessed against the submission thread.
6. Published content and reuse
Published articles are readable in full without charge or an account. They are not offered for download, and printing is suppressed.
You may read, quote with attribution as academic convention permits, and link to any article. You may not republish, redistribute, or mine article text without written permission from the authors. We state honestly that these are licence terms and a deterrent rather than technical protection: anything a browser displays can be captured.
7. Identifiers
Accepted articles receive an immutable platform identifier, unique to this platform and never reissued. It is not a DOI and is not registered with any DOI agency, and it confers no indexing or accreditation.
8. Integrity and removal
Fabricated data, fabricated references, concealed AI involvement in the substance of a work, and duplicate submission are grounds for rejection at any stage and for retraction after publication, without refund.
Retracted articles remain visible with a retraction notice and keep their identifier. The published record is not deleted.
9. Limits of liability
The journal is provided as it is. We do not warrant that an evaluation is correct, that a publication here will be recognised by any institution, funder, or employer, or that this platform will remain available indefinitely. Authors should retain their own copies of accepted manuscripts.
Nothing on this site is professional, medical, legal, or financial advice, whatever a published article may argue.
10. Changes
These terms may change. Material changes are dated on this page, and a submission is governed by the terms in force when it was made.
